An IO that is well rooted in Montréal
Since it’s inception in Montréal in 1991, the Multilateral Fund for the Implementation of the Montréal Protocol has organized 75% of its executive committee meetings
in its home town. “Because Montréal offers excellent hospitality infrastructure, it’s very convenient for us to organize our meetings right here, and Montréal’s ambiance is especially appreciated by our members,” explains Maria Nolan, Chief Officer of the Secretariat of the Multilateral Fund. |

The result of a private/public partnership, Montréal International receives the combined support of the Government of Canada, the Government of Québec, the Communauté métropolitaine de Montréal (Montréal Metropolitan Community) and the City of Montréal. The organization’s mission is to contribute to economic development in Metro Montréal and to enhance its international status. The International Organizations Department at Montréal International is devoted exclusively to relations with international organizations and, among others, offers them hospitality services to assist them and their foreign personnel in settling in the Montréal region.
Issu d’un partenariat public-privé, Montréal International est appuyé par le gouvernement du Canada, le gouvernement du Québec, la Communauté métropolitaine de Montréal et la Ville de Montréal. L’organisme a pour but de contribuer au développement économique de la région de Montréal et d’accroître son rayonnement international. La vice-présidence Organisations internationales de Montréal International est consacrée exclusivement aux relations avec les organisations internationales; elle leur offre entre autres des services d’accueil qui facilitent leur installation et l’intégration de leur personnel étranger.
