A Major Expansion for Messier Dowty in Mirabel
The foreign subsidary Messier Dowty is carrying a major expansion at its Mirabel location in Greater Montréal to increase by 70% the size of its facilities. The manufacturer of landing gear owned by the French aerospace multinational Safran plans to increase its production capacity by over 60%. The company seeks to fill positions for polishers, metal operators, system administrators, machinists, operators running, painters and technologists.
The work is scheduled to be completed next summer and will facilitate the addition of at least 14 new machines to the 22 already operating. Messier Dowty delivers on average six landing gears per week for large aircrafts and ten per week for A320.
