Canada, an Attractive Country for Venture Capital Firms

For a fifth year in a row, Canada ranked second in the 2013 edition of The Global Venture Capital and Private Equity Country Attractiveness Index. This study measures the attractiveness of 118 countries for venture capital investors. It is based on 51 indicators associated with the following six key drivers of investors in venture capital:

  • Economic Activity
  • Depth of Capital Market
  • Taxation
  • Investor Protection & Corporate
  • Governance
  • Human & Social Environment, and
  • Entrepreneurial Culture & Deal Opportunities.
