According to Bloomberg’s Best Countries for Business 2014, released on January 21, Canada is the second most attractive country in the world for business.
Canada distinguishes itself by its degree of economic integration with many countries and its low costs. It also does especially well in the category of the less-tangible costs which includes the Corruption Perception Index, the International Property Rights Index, inflation, various taxation concerns and accounting adaptability.
The ranking is based on the following six factors: degree of economic integration, cost of setting up a business, cost of labor & material, cost of moving goods, less-tangible costs and readiness of the local consumer base.
