Montréal is now the 16th most important financial centre according to The Global Financial Centres Index 2013. Last year, the Quebec metropolis ranked 17th. Montréal has made significant progress since the first publication of the GFCI in 2007, gaining nine ranks in six years.

Montréal’s finance sector can notably count on a pool of qualified labour, which is supported by a cutting-edge university sector, as well as by one of the most effective business environment.
