Silicon Valley-based AppDirect, which specializes in cloud computing, will be opening an office in the Montréal metropolitan area within the next three months. The company was founded by Quebecker Nicolas Desmarais and Ontarian Daniel Saks. The Montréal studio will be employing 20 to 30 workers within a year, comprising mostly engineers and programmers.
“We considered several locations in which to expand our team and recruit talent, and Montréal became the obvious choice,” said Saks, who also mentions in particular the R&D tax credit programs and the quality of available workers that attracted the company to Montréal.
