Montréal International (MI) coordinated the participation of 14 companies in the Montréal metropolitan area having more than 500 openings and headed off on a recruiting mission to Paris and Barcelona from November 29 to December 3, 2012 as part of Journées Québec.
More than 1,900 preselected candidates were present on site to promote their skills among the companies that participated, including: National Bank of Canada, Beyond Technologies, CGI, Cofomo, DexterIT, Elisen & Associates, Facilité Informatique, Yellow Pages Group, Helix Enterprise Collaboration Systems, Larochelle Consulting Group, Meritek Conseil, Recrutement Santé Québec, Sourcevolution and Standard Life.
“This was a clear-cut success for companies in Greater Montréal looking for talent, particularly in high technology sectors. A second round of interviews is planned in the coming weeks, and some candidates will be officially hired,” said Louis Arseneault, Vice President, Talent Attraction, Promotion and Communications at Montréal International.
Foreign workers today are significant assets for major cities around the world. That is why MI, with the support of the Conseil emploi métropole and under the auspices of the ministère de l’Immigration et des Communautés culturelles du Québec (MICC), is supporting international recruiting efforts by coordinating the participation of companies in recruiting missions and by emphasizing to international workers all of the advantages of living and working in the metropolitan area.
If you would like to take part in a recruiting mission abroad, do not miss the next one that will take place in Washington, D.C., and New York City from March 22 and 23, 2013. For more information, contact David Lebel, Project Director at Montréal International at 514-987-9364
