IEDC 2013 International Excellence in Economic Development Awards

During its 2013 Annual Conference this week in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the International Economic Development Council (IEDC) presented Montréal International (MI) with a Gold Excellence in Economic Development Award for its Profile of Greater Montréal’s Life Sciences and Health Technologies (LSHT) industry, in the category of Specific Purpose Brochure.

Jointly produced by Montréal InVivo, this profile is an invaluable tool for promoting and prospecting foreign direct investments and representing Québec firms to potential international clients.

“The IEDC recognizes annually, through its Excellence in Economic Development Awards program, the contribution of organizations around the world that are at the forefront in terms of economic development practices,” said IEDC chair, Paul Krutko. “We are therefore proud to honor Montréal International for its promotion strategies of Greater Montréal on the international level. These aim to illustrate the know-how and leading-edge expertise available in the region and showcase leading companies’ testimonials and success.”

Montréal International is particularly proud to receive such a prestigious distinction from the IEDC. This prize is an important recognition of the quality of the organization’s work to analyze and promote Greater Montréal’s economic strengths, two major focal points of Montréal International’s activities.

Greater Montréal offers Life Sciences companies a very welcoming environment, with an open spirit of collaboration among universities, research institutions, industry and governments. The region is a unique destination for foreign companies, international organizations and strategic workers. It’s therefore essential to promote its many strengths and unique advantages.
