Montréal, November 4, 2014 – As part of the French President’s state visit to Canada from November 2 to 4, Julien Parrou, President and CEO of Groupe ConcoursMania, announced that the company is setting up its North American headquarters in Greater Montréal. France-based ConcoursMania, a European leader in online marketing games, has already signed agreements with clients in Montréal and is actively recruiting new talent to join its existing team.
Groupe ConcoursMania offers Canadian and US brands the opportunity to reach their target audience by implementing two strategies: digital campaigns on its international network (millions of players each day) and commissioning tailor-made promotional games for various platforms (web, smartphone, tablet, etc.).
“Québec is a key component of our international development strategy. We are pleased to be part of this French delegation and officially announce the launch of our Canadian subsidiary,” said Julien Parrou, President and CEO of Groupe ConcoursMania. “The initial results from Montréal are encouraging and have prompted us to further consolidate our local presence by creating new jobs. Our new roots in Montréal will facilitate exchanges and collaboration with our parent company in Bordeaux,” he added.
Montréal International, whose mission includes attracting foreign direct investment to Greater Montréal, is helping Groupe ConcoursMania with its international development project. “Our prospecting efforts with Groupe ConcoursMania have produced results and this announcement confirms the attractiveness of our metropolis for French companies,” noted Dominique Anglade, President and CEO of Montréal International. “Investment projects in knowledge industries are seeing remarkable growth in Greater Montréal and are making a significant contribution to wealth creation,” added Ms. Anglade.
France is the second-most frequent country of origin of foreign subsidiaries in Greater Montréal. The Montréal metropolitan region is currently home to 300 French companies’ subsidiaries such as Danone, l’Oréal, Transdev Veolia, Vinci, Ubisoft, Sanofi and Alstom, which employ some 20,000 people.
With Groupe ConcoursMania, brands can leverage marketing games to reach their target audience by implementing two strategies: broadcasting their digital campaigns on its international network (millions of players each day) or getting tailor made promotional games on multiple platforms. Groupe ConcoursMania broadcasts campaigns on its technological platforms to collect qualified profiles and generate a solid return on investment for more than 500 brands – such as Sephora, Lufthansa, HomeAway, Roquefort Société, NRJ, Toyota, Carrefour, Publicis Group and France Télévisions.
