A delegation from China Entrepreneur Club (CEC) will be visiting Montréal, Ottawa, Toronto and Vancouver from October 16 to 23. The delegation is primarily interested in the political scene in Canada, business opportunities created by the economic transformation, competitiveness in the workforce and technologies, and in establishing a dialogue with areas of interest such as innovation and technology industries.
The CEC delegation in Canada will be led by Dr. Ma Weihua, President of China Entrepreneur Club and National Fund for Technology Transfer and Commercialization Council. Various heads of companies from a number of industries will be among the delegates.
The visit by CEC, intended to strengthen public diplomacy in China’s private sector, will include several business meetings organized by Power Corporation, Bombardier, Cirque du Soleil and the Royal Bank of Canada. Recent closer China-Canada ties have resulted in more trade talks between the two countries. “Entrepreneurs now want to transform this mutual enthusiasm into positive energy that will lead to practical business collaboration,” said Dr. Ma.
CEC is the platform for business leaders in China. The 50 company members that make up CEC generate total gross annual revenues exceeding 3 billion RMB. CEC is a not-for-profit organization founded in 2006 and its mission is to stimulate entrepreneurship and business integrity by promoting sustainable economic and social development.
