Foreign subsidiaries established in Greater Montréal play a major role in the Québec economy; they only account for 1% of businesses, but make up 10% of jobs and 20% of the region’s GDP. They also have a tremendous positive impact on their host city’s local ecosystem, as they provide suppliers with access to networks of international contacts and the global supply chain.
