Javaground is opening a new production studio in Montréal
Montréal’s electronic game industry welcomes a new player –California-based Javaground, a company specialized in the development of video games and tools enabling the deployment of games and applications across mobile phones, is opening a production studio in Montréal. Already in growth mode, Javaground Canada intends to increase its workforce by hiring fifteen additional developers at the Montréal International Game Summit, being held at Montréal’s Palais des Congrès on November 27 and 28.

Montréal International (MI) is delighted with the $6 million financial contribution allocated by the Government of Québec to implement its 2008-2010 triennial plan. This assistance, which was announced today at a press conference held in Montréal, comes from the Ministère des Affaires municipales et des Régions (MAMR) ($3.3 million), the Ministère du Développement économique, de l’Innovation et de l’Exportation (MDEIE) ($900,000), and the Ministère des Relations internationales (MRI) ($1.8 million).
