Montréal is a leading conference host city. The metropolis is ranked second in North America after New York as host venue for international meetings and conferences. Most of this activity is concentrated in the downtown and adjacent International Quarter districts, within easy reach of the airport offering a range of accommodation for all budgets.
Newly expanded and renovated the Palais des congrès de Montréal, (Montréal’s Convention Centre) with a capacity of over 20, 000, offers high-tech facilities and services. Meeting planners can also choose from some 20 additional sites designed with large conventions in mind, as well as from a wide range of hotels. In all, participants have a choice of over 25,000 rooms, with the majority located in the vicinity of the downtown-International Quarter.
The International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) complex features conference facilities designed according to United Nations specifications and can address technical and organizational needs unique to international organizations.
