Mélissa Denis was appointed as Interim President and Chief Executive Officer of Montréal International in August 2026. She had joined the organization in 2021 as director of the private partnerships team. Shortly after, she took on the role of Vice president and Chief operating officer to oversee the organization’s operations, including corporate governance, human resources and digital transformation projects.
Before joining Montréal International, Mélissa’s career included leadership positions in the media, technology, and economic development sectors. She notably served as General manager of miLibris, where she launched the Canadian subsidiary of the French company Cafeyn. In that capacity, she was responsible for the organization’s strategic development, its North American expansion, and the negotiation of strategic partnerships and content distribution rights. She also held senior roles at TC Media for more than 12 years, including Director of National and Industry sales, while supporting several technology companies in their digital transformation efforts.
A graduate of UQAM’s School of Management with a degree in Business Administration (Marketing), she remains deeply committed to the institution, currently serving as Chair of the University’s Board of Directors. She was awarded the Young Leader Performance Award in 2014 in recognition of her leadership, commitment, and agility.
Throughout her career, Mélissa has also been actively involved in various health-related causes, notably with the Québec division of Cystic Fibrosis Canada, where she served on the Board of Directors from 2011 to 2014. More recently, she has supported the next generation of business leaders as a mentor through the Junior Chamber of Commerce of Montréal, as well as organizations such as Elo Mentorat and La Gouvernance au féminin.
Mélissa has two teenage daughters. A classical music enthusiast, she regularly attends concerts in Montréal and across Québec.
