TMC Global, a leader in broad-based engineering, technology, and scientific services from the Netherlands, is announcing its expansion in North America, with the opening of its headquarters in Montréal and another office in New York City. TMC is a unique collection of self-starting, highly skilled and almost self-employed scientists, engineers and technical professionals, who provide services to customers all over the world. The company will create over 100 jobs within the next three years.

TMC has a long-term growth strategy for North America, which is off to a great start as the company is already acting on leads among the big players in the Montréal aviation sector. Moreover, TMC offers an “expert on demand” option, based on the belief that by creating the best possible conditions for its tech talents, they will add value and effectively help the ambitious and innovative companies to realize their product and project objectives.

The company’s unparalleled employeneurship model offers engineers from all backgrounds the comfort of employment and the opportunities of entrepreneurship. Although TMC global operates in ten countries, in 18 different business segments, its North American business unit strategy is to focus on the aerospace, railways, automotive, energy, and pharma industries. Its expertise is geared toward mechanical, electrical, avionics, software development, data science and digital transformation.

“The term employeneurship might sound unfamiliar; it’s because we invented it. Not just as a word, but as a way of working. We are so proud of our attractive operating model, which is structured around five principles: we foster long-term working relationships and security of employment, we are divided in specialized cells of employeneurs, we provide our staff with a personalized coaching and training program, also we ensure availability of technical laboratories to further develop any innovative idea they may have and, finally, we share the profit with our Employeneurs to recognize them at their just value. These principles help us attract the best talent so we can serve our customers much more efficiently,” explained Fernando Ledesma, President of TMC North America.

Montréal International, Greater Montréal’s economic promotion agency, supported the company at every stage of its investment project. “Greater Montréal’s aerospace sector is one of the most innovative and attractive in the world, thanks to its critical mass of industry leaders, its 42,000 skilled workers, and an R&D environment that fosters competitiveness,” said Hubert Bolduc, President and CEO of Montréal International. “It is key that we promote such strengths to foreign businesses like TMC, which create quality jobs while driving innovation and productivity in the region.”

On her part, Suzanne M. Benoît, President and CEO of Aéro Montréal – Québec’s aerospace cluster believes that “TMC’s arrival in Montréal will help attract and maintain in the area the expertise and the highly qualified personnel we need so much. Their unique business model will contribute to making our aerospace ecosystem the most innovative one in the world, which is our vision for the future. We are happy to welcome TMC into our big family,” she added.
