A public-private partnership

Created in 1996, Montréal International is a non-profit organization that is financed by the private sector, the governments of Canada and Québec, the Montréal Metropolitan Community and the City of Montréal.

Since its founding, MI has contributed to attracting direct foreign investment projects valued at $21 billion, leading to the creation or maintenance of 80,000 jobs. We have also played a key role in the decisions of nearly half of the city’s 70 international organizations to establish themselves here, as well as in attracting and retaining more than 12,000 strategic international workers.
