Clipwire Games begins recruiting its new Montréal team

Clipwire expands their creative and marketing teams to Canada’s gaming capital

May 6, 2021

Clipwire Games, a top Canadian gaming publisher acquired by AppLovin, a global technology platform for mobile apps, is building a new team in Montréal to scale the studio and its hit title Bingo Story, a top grossing game in the US and Canada. Several mid- to senior-level roles are now opened across Clipwire’s art, design, creative, marketing and HR teams, building on the city’s highly educated and seasoned talent pool.

New hires in Montréal will join a collaborative, innovative and creative team that is focused on taking Clipwire’s games like Bingo Story, Word Buddies, Solitaire Buddies and future projects to the next level.

“As we look to continue our studio’s growth and momentum, building a team in Montréal is a natural next step. Expanding our team to a gaming hub like Montréal enables us to access a rich pool of established game developers, designers, artists and more, and we couldn’t be more excited,” said Ritesh Khanna, CEO and Founder of Clipwire Games.

Clipwire Games recently partnered with Fremantle Media to incorporate the classic game show The Price is Right in Bingo Story. Players experience fan-favorite games including Cliff Hangers, Punch A Bunch, Let ‘Em Roll and Plinko, Price is Right-themed bingo boards, and exclusive The Price is Right collectables.

Clipwire Games continues to be recognized by Great Place to Work: it was recently named one of the Best Workplaces for Today’s Youth 2020 and one of the Best Places to Work in Canada, a testament to the type of workplace and culture the studio has built. App Annie also named Clipwire Games the #2 Top Canadian Game Publisher.

Based on the Ville de Montréal’s Economic Development Strategy, the city is expected to generate nearly 92,000 jobs by 2022 in cultural and creative industries, including video games, digital arts, and visual and live arts. Clipwire Games joins this robust sector with the assistance of Investissement Québec International and Montréal International to establish its operations and expand its team in the city.
