Dynacare opens advanced medical laboratory in Laval’s Biotech City

The $5+ million investment being made over three years strengthens the company’s presence in Québec and supports its local team of more than 160 highly skilled, full-time STEM professionals. The consolidation of the two existing facilities into a new, more modern laboratory began in 2025 with a move to the new site at 275 Armand Frappier Blvd. in Laval.

The new site provides crucial healthcare services to patients across Canada, including advanced genetic tests such as the pharmacogenomics and non-invasive prenatal test programs. The results are essential to determine the best, quickest treatment plan for the patient. Genetic counsellors at the location provide interpretation and support to physicians and patients receiving genetic test results.

Dynacare has provided diagnostic and screening tests in Québec since 2002, supporting physicians and clinicians in making diagnosis decisions. The company also provides services to medical clinics, workplace clients, insurance companies, and clinical research organizations. The new site in Laval was selected for its pre-existing laboratory infrastructure, as well as its easy access to public transportation.
