Visual effects and animation company Mathematic Studio opens Greater Montréal office

September 6, 2017

Montréal, September 6, 2017 – Mathematic Studio, one of the most prominent VFX and animation companies in France, announced that it will be establishing its first foreign studio in Greater Montréal, as an aside to the effects MTL17 conference. With this new North American outpost, Mathematic Studio plans to significantly expand its global presence and create some twenty jobs over three years.

The Montréal studio will focus mainly on managing the company’s growing operations in the movie industry. The Canadian subsidiary is already working on two full-length features, and will also be working on various advertising projects and music videos. Mathematic Studio has already made a name for itself in major productions for marquee entertainers and brands such as Madonna, Coldplay, Rihanna, Chanel, Nike, Perrier and Dior. The Montréal location will also allow the new studio to develop its video-game industry client base—Mathematic Studio is already familiar the industry as it developed the trailer for Ubisoft’s Ghost Recon Wildlands title in 2016.

Mathematic Studio received constant support from Montréal International in the course of opening its offices in Montréal, and will rely on the extensive experience of executive producer Alexandre Pagot, who is heading the project for the company. The Montréal team, made up of a dozen local new hires, will evolve within a flexible structure and work closely with its parent company, which has nearly a hundred employees working at its two Paris studios.

Our employees are motivated by a large variety of stimulating projects and the user-friendly space housed in a duplex on Saint-Joseph Boulevard, in the Plateau-Mont-Royal borough.
