Montréal, September 13, 2017 – French IT consulting firm Agylis Groupe announced the establishment of a Canadian subsidiary in Greater Montréal that will play a key role in its international expansion strategy. Agylis Canada plans to set up a new development centre in the region and create about 50 new jobs by 2020.

As the group’s first international subsidiary, Agylis Canada will serve a growing customer base in North America, France and around the world and become the firm’s main point of service. “We want to export the same know-how that allowed us to execute large-scale projects for clients such as LFB (Laboratoire français du fractionnement et des biotechnologies) and some major global players in the cosmetic and medical fields,” said Jean-Pierre Salducci, Co-founder and CEO of Agylis Groupe.

The company provides consulting, project management and placement services in a number of fields (e.g., IT development, business intelligence, ERP implementation and security) and already does business with various Montréal organizations, including banks, telecommunication companies, and software development companies. “Greater Montréal’s information and communication technologies industry is one of the most dynamic in the world. Many local companies are already going digital and we hope to support them in their upcoming projects,” added Bertrand Nguyen, Business Unit Director at Agylis Canada.

Montréal International, whose mission includes attracting foreign direct investment to Greater Montréal, helped Agylis set up in the area. “Agylis coming to Greater Montréal with its leading-edge IT consulting expertise will provide support to local businesses so they become better equipped to go digital. In this fourth industrial revolution, Québec and Montréal must have a competitive and productive economy that is open and recognized the world over for its know-how and innovations,” said Hubert Bolduc, President and CEO of Montréal International.

The 50 new employees to be hired in the coming months will join the 150 consulting, integration and facility management specialists already working at the firm’s Paris, Nantes and Lyon subsidiaries. The group expects to hit €15 million in sales by 2020, about double the 2016 sales, mainly due to the expansion of its Montréal office.
